Moda Block Heads 4 - Block 25 & 1,2,3 More!

Block 25 already! I can't believe we're almost to the end of Moda Block Heads 4. But, really, is there ever an end when you have such beautiful blocks to work with?! This week I have Block 25 for you and more catch-up, including one of the Bonus Blocks designed by Moda Fabrics.

Heart, Block 25, was designed by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique. It's a sweet block that would be adorable as a pillow for Valentine's Day. I love the way the star stands out in this version stitched in my Kawa collection. Kawa ships to stores this month!! More about that below!

Stitched in my Yukata collection, Heart takes on a very different look, but the love still shines with a strong heartbeat! You'll find instructions for Vanessa's block on her Lella Boutique site - click here. Follow Vanessa on Instagram, too @lellaboutique

Backing up . . . . I have Bonus Block #1, Roundabout, for you in Yukata. What a fun block, Moda designed for us to add to the 28 designer blocks! Sewn up as a mirror image, it offers a great chance to use lots of fabrics. A perfect one for your scrap basket or to blend with the fabrics you've chosen for your BH4 quilt. The instructions are in Moda's BH4 Archive - click here.

Now let's re-visit a couple of blocks you've already seen on my blog! I began my Moda Block Heads 4 blocks using my Yukata collection which was released last Spring. But, because I was very excited about my soon-to-ship Kawa collection, I switched over to that. I really wanted you to see all the blocks in both collections though, so that's part of the catch-up!

First in Yukata, here's Block 3, Kouign Amann by Laurie Simpson of Minick & Simpson. Laurie named this delightful block after her favorite New York City pastry which has a similar crown look to it. You can read all about it and get the instructions for Block 3 on the Minick & Simpson blog, click right here. You can enjoy my first version of this tasty block in Kawa by clicking here

My final block for this week is Block 4, again in Yukata which you can order from my site right here. Designed by Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs, Spinner has great motion and looks so striking in Yukata! You'll find the instructions on Anne's blog by clicking here. And, you can view my first version, stitched in Kawa in one of my previous posts - just click here

And, now for the best news!! It's finally September and my Kawa collection is shipping this month! Check with your local quilt shop to see when they expect their shipment. If they haven't ordered yet, let them know you've looking forward to shopping for Kawa at their shop. I'll let you know as soon as I have Kawa available on my site, but right now, you can make a list of your favorites on the Moda Fabrics' site. Click here and get that list going!
