This is a new runner I made using various techniques to add interest. Remarthable runner web

The black portion is from a pair of black wool pants that I purchased at a thrift shop in Fort Worth, Texas.

I felted them by washing and drying them in a hot water wash, cold rinse and a hot dryer.

I then needle felted silk roving on the felted wool.

The printed pink silk is from a vintage sari that I purchased in Austin, Texas at a quaint shop.

The orange sections are orange dupioni silk that I needle felted for texture.

The purple and teal areas are silk fat quarters I had on hand.

I quilted it with channel quilting, meandering and outlined the prints.

Found buttons and beads were added for more embellishment.

You can truly make a piece of art for your wall or table with scraps of this and that.

And it was a lot of fun.
