Fabric Matcher contest

It is contest time. Are you ready to have some fun?

Moda Fabrics has a wonderful tool on their website that anyone can play with. It is called Fabric Matcher. The idea is that you can use patterns on the website along with Moda fabrics to design wonderful quilts. What I want you to do is go to the Moda website, click on Fun Stuff to get to the Fabric Matcher and use one of MY PATTERNS and their fabric to design a quilt or quilts.

Here is what you have to do.

Step One ~ will earn one entry in the contest

Cick here to go to the Fabric Matcher site.

Select one of my patterns by clicking on Calico Carriage Quilt Designs in the drop down menu under pattern selection.

Use any fabric on the site for the pattern.

Make your project public.

This is very important. You have to make your project public.

Go to my blog, scroll down, leave a comment telling me that what you did a project and give me the name you used on the Moda site when you signed up.

Do not give any personal information on the blog, just the name used for your project so I can track it.

Step two ~ will earn a second entry in the contest

Mention this contest and put a link to my blog from your blog

Step three ~ will earn a third entry in the contest

Go to my website Calico Carriage and share my website with a friend.

You do this by clicking on the icon on the right side of the home page midway down.

Step Four ~ will earn a fourth entry in the contest.

Step Five ~ will earn a fifth entry in the contest.

Go to Lila Tueller's blog and leave her a message (please give her your email also so she can tell me who posted) telling her what you think about her wonderful

Soiree fabric line.

That brings us to the prize.

Moda has donated a big Fat Quarter pack of Lila Tueller's Soiree fabric.

It is pictured below.

As you can see it is a wonderful bright happy line of fabric. The really neat thing is this contest will run until midnight January 31, 2009. Whoever wins will be one of the first people to own this fabric. It does not ship to the quilt shops until February 2009. The winner will be chosen by random drawing.

Ooooooh...I love Soire'e...how generous of you to be giving it away! I tried the FabricMatcher and it was a lot of fun! I used you Radiant Stars pattern, but renamed mine to be Swirling Stars. My name on the site is mykwmca. I also visited your website, signed up for your newsletter and told three of my quilting friends about it. I'm also headed back to Lila's blog (that's how I found your fun site) to let her know how much I love the fabric line! Hopefully, I'll be posting about this giveaway on my blog very soon! I am MrsHunter on Moda's Fabric Matcher. Love your patterns. I bought one of each at Spring Market in Pittsburgh a few years ago. I have a Carpenter's Star on the wall in my bedroom.

Aloha! I'm new at quilting and don't have quite the eye for matching stuff, but I do have to say that that Moda site is soooo fun! My username on the site is kanaboke and I named the project Phunky (because it certainly is..you'll see I REALLY don't have the eye for it). Thanks so much for such a fun contest!! It would be fun to win so I can make my quilt a reality..hehehehe!

I have never used Fabric Matcher before and it was a blast.
My project is called Pink Weea.
My granddaughter and I did this together. She is 4. She loved picking out the fabric. It is pretty bold but she loved it and I wasn't going to change a thing.

Such a fun contest! I love playing in Moda's Fabricmatcher! I'm sarahb over there. Looking back I realized I'd already played with one of your patterns in a previous contest there, a project named Holiday Bliss 1. I played again this time with your other pattern and some of Lila Tueller's fabric, project named Calico Carriage Lila Tueller.

I also posted on Lila's blog, she's who pointed me over to your site! I couldn't find how to sign up for your email newsletter, but I'll look again later. This site is loading strangely for me today, so maybe that spot is just hiding right now. I added you to my bloglines so I won't forget!

This is quiltsmiles again. I enjoyed playing with the program so much, I did 3 more projects. They are: Garden Maze, Soiree's star, and Radiant Woodland Blooms. Thanks again for putting up this link. I love your easy to use patterns, I am a novice and managed to make a very nice queen size quilt of the carpenter's star which is on my bed. I already subscribe to your email and recently ordered the new shooting stars pattern. THe moda site is really cool and i did three projects with your patterns on it. My username is faronell and I did make it public, but do not understand how to see someone else's project. I do not blog but will share your site with others. My project names are Kashmir morning, Evening Tea and Midnight Sky, my favorite. I would love to see other's creative skills, if you could explain how, that would be really nice. Thanks

I made 2 projects under the name requilt. It would not let me put something in for fabric number eight in either project but the grey color looks ok in each pattern.
